Names, Places, Work, and Interests
Build the four personal-detail groups before roleplaying
เตรียมคำศัพท์ข้อมูลส่วนตัว 4 กลุ่มก่อนฝึกบทบาทสมมติ
Start a friendly first conversation, exchange essential personal details, respond to one shared interest and close naturally.
This lesson uses one clear six-turn first-meeting conversation. The order stays the same while the personal details and the learner’s role change, so every round feels familiar but still requires real listening and speaking.
You practise both sides of a real first-meeting conversation. Open the Thai explanation only when you need extra support.
ฝึกทั้งบทบาทผู้เริ่มสนทนาและผู้ตอบ เพื่อให้ผู้เรียนใช้ข้อมูลส่วนตัวพื้นฐานต่อบทสนทนาได้จริง ไม่ใช่เพียงท่องคำแนะนำตัว
For learners: Use the personal-detail vocabulary and listening evidence in a real first-meeting conversation with turn-taking, a connected response and a natural close.
For teachers: The fixed six-turn pattern lowers A1 processing load. Guided support is removed across two role switches before one scored variation and focused retry.
By the end of this lesson, you can complete a six-turn first-meeting conversation, exchange four personal-detail groups, respond to one answer and close naturally.
เมื่อจบบทเรียน คุณสามารถสนทนาแรกพบ 6 ช่วง แลกเปลี่ยนชื่อ สถานที่ งานหรือการเรียน และความสนใจ ตอบสนองต่อข้อมูลหนึ่งเรื่อง และจบบทสนทนาอย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ
Conversation management: take the correct turn, respond and keep the six-turn exchange moving.
Functional performance: exchange four useful detail groups and make one connected response.
Every practice round follows the same order. Only the details and the learner’s role change.
“Hi, I’m Arun. What’s your name?”
“I’m from Khon Kaen, but I live in Bangkok.”
“Really? I like that too.”
“Nice to meet you. I’m Maya.”
“What do you study?”
“Maybe we can practise together.”
Arun: Hi, I’m Arun. What’s your name?
Maya: Nice to meet you. I’m Maya. Where are you from?
Arun: I’m from Khon Kaen, but I live in Bangkok. What do you study?
Maya: I study design. What do you do in your free time?
Arun: I enjoy taking photos. Really? Do you like photography too?
Maya: Yes, I do. Maybe we can take photos after class. See you later.
Perform this exchange once. Then stop reading it and use true or teacher-assigned details.
Model the complete exchange once at a natural but slow A1 pace. Correct only the order of turns. Do not stop for every grammar error. Ask the learner to point to the next speaker before each turn if support is needed.
Build short, true information before the roleplay. Do not write a full speech.
Name: My name’s ___.
Place: I’m from ___ / I live in ___.
Work or study: I work in ___ / I study ___.
Interest: I enjoy ___ / I like ___.
What’s your name?
Where are you from?
What do you do / study?
What do you do in your free time?
Accept short A1 answers. Help the learner choose true language from the Vocabulary lesson, but do not write a full script. Check that “from” and “live in” are not confused and that the interest uses a workable verb pattern.
Keep the six-turn order and support lines visible. The goal is successful interaction, not memorisation.
Round details: New evening class · two new students · one shared interest.
Required move: Respond to one answer before asking the follow-up.
Close: “See you next class.” / “Maybe we can practise together.”
Teacher takes the easier role first and points to the turn list when needed. Prompt with one keyword, not a complete sentence. Stop the round only if the conversation order breaks; save small form corrections for the end.
Student: Be the new classmate. Open, ask, respond and close.
Teacher: Be a classmate with the profile below. Reveal information only when asked.
From Chiang Mai · lives in Bangkok · studies design · enjoys street photography.
Optional follow-up detail: takes photos at weekend markets.
Reveal only one profile item per question. If the learner asks an unclear question, answer minimally and wait for repair. Do not supply the follow-up unless five seconds pass. After the round, give one correction about interaction order.
Teacher: Start the conversation using a different profile.
Student: Respond, give details, ask the next question and make one connected comment.
From Bristol · works in a hotel · lives near the school · enjoys cooking Thai food.
Optional follow-up detail: wants to learn one easy Thai dish.
Teacher leads only the opening. Let the learner manage the remaining turns. If support is needed, point to the information group rather than reading a line. After the round, give one correction about clarity or question form.
Use a fresh fictional or true profile. Cover the model dialogue and most answer frames, but leave the six-turn order visible.
2: Manages the six turns, responds and closes independently.
1: Completes the exchange with one interaction prompt.
0: The teacher must manage most turns.
2: Exchanges all four detail groups and makes one connected response.
1: One detail group or the connected response still needs support.
0: Essential personal information cannot yet be exchanged.
Choose the learner’s weaker role. Use a new profile and do not interrupt unless communication stops. Score only the final attempt. Give one precise feedback point, then repeat the weakest turn—not the whole lesson.

ครูควรช่วยอย่างไร: ชี้คำสำคัญหรือขั้นของบทสนทนาแทนการบอกประโยคเต็ม หยุดแก้ระหว่างพูดเฉพาะเมื่อการสื่อสารไปต่อไม่ได้ แล้วให้คำแนะนำเพียงหนึ่งจุดก่อนลองช่วงที่อ่อนที่สุดอีกครั้ง
