This is a Guided Speaking lesson, not a reading lesson. Keep examples visible only long enough for the learner to select useful language. Accept clear A2 language, correct after a speaking round and keep learner talk time above 70%.
| Time | Teacher does | Student does | Required result |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0–3 | Do not allow the learner to select a bag before ranking the needs. | Choose Nina or Tom. State the two strongest needs. | The user’s purpose controls the comparison. |
| 3–8 | Keep feature vocabulary tied to the cards. Recast comparative form after meaning is clear. | Choose two feature phrases. Choose two comparisons. | Your language reports evidence and a balanced decision. |
| 8–12 | Ask the learner to distinguish a feature from a judgement. “Stronger material” is evidence; “better” needs a reason. | Say two differences and one similarity. Match one feature to each priority. | The recommendation follows the user’s priorities. |
| 12–17 | Require two distinct reasons. Hide the model before the continuous recommendation. | State the user’s purpose. Compare the products. | The listener can repeat why the product fits the user. |
| 17–21 | Ask one concern that challenges the learner’s strongest reason. Accept a revised choice. | Give the recommendation. Answer one teacher concern with product evidence. | You use evidence and can revise when needed. |
| 21–27 | Reveal the changed priority after the first recommendation. Give ten seconds for keyword planning. | Receive one changed priority. Re-rank the needs. | Your revised recommendation fits the changed situation. |
| 27–30 | Score fit, evidence and independent delivery—not sales enthusiasm. | Compare both products. Recommend one with two user-relevant reasons. | The user can decide from your evidence and explanation. |
