Product review
Track the affected product, the supporting evidence, the condition and the recommendation.

Foreground an affected person or thing, compress passive information and keep description, reason and condition clear.
For learners: Build accurate past participle clauses that preserve affected-subject meaning, logical relationship and responsibility in result-focused recommendations.
For teachers: Recover passive meaning, distinguish description/reason/condition, form six clauses, repair attachment, map two accent-varied briefings, then perform and retry.
By the end of this lesson, you can form six past participle clauses, distinguish description from reason and condition, repair two misattached clauses, and brief one result-focused recommendation.
เมื่อจบบทเรียน คุณจะสร้าง past participle clause 6 ประโยค แยกความหมายที่ใช้บรรยาย บอกเหตุผล และบอกเงื่อนไข แก้ 2 ประโยคที่วางวลีผิดตำแหน่ง และสรุปผลพร้อมเสนอแนะได้อย่างชัดเจน
Past participle clauses let us focus on a person or thing that receives an action: Tested under pressure, the valve remained stable. The compressed form is useful only when the listener can identify what is affected and whether the clause gives a description, reason or condition.
ภาษาไทย: Past participle clause ช่วยเน้นคนหรือสิ่งที่ได้รับผลจากการกระทำ และย่อข้อมูลแบบ passive ให้กระชับ แต่ต้องวางวลีให้ติดกับคำนามที่ถูกอธิบาย พร้อมทำให้ความสัมพันธ์ว่าเป็นคำบรรยาย เหตุผล หรือเงื่อนไขชัดเจน
Expand every past-participle clause into a full passive clause before accepting it. Ask “What was affected?” and “Does the phrase describe this subject, give its reason, or set a condition?” Keep the actor when responsibility matters.
| Stage | Teacher move | Evidence to collect |

Expand each shortened phrase and check who or what receives the action.

| Designed for small teams, the tool is easy to use. | Because the tool was designed for small teams, it is easy to use. | The tool was designed. |

| Given another hour, we could repeat the trial. | If we were given another hour, we could repeat the trial. | We would receive the time. |
| Reviewed by the manager, the team changed the plan. | What was reviewed—the team or the plan? | Unsafe attachment. |
Do not define the form only as “verb 3.” Require a passive expansion and an affected-subject check. If removing the actor hides responsibility, retain a by-phrase or use a full clause.
Use context and a full-clause paraphrase to identify the relationship.
| Relationship | Diagnostic question | Model |
|---|---|---|
| description | Which person or thing is being identified or described? | The files stored in this folder are encrypted. |
| reason | Why is the main statement true? | Concerned by the result, the team repeated the test. |
| condition | Under what condition will the result follow? | Used correctly, the filter should last six months. |
A noun-following phrase normally describes that noun. An initial phrase may express reason or condition, but position alone is not proof. Expand the meaning: use because + passive clause for reason and if + passive clause for condition.
Avoid teaching a fixed connector for every initial phrase. Ask learners to produce the full paraphrase and check whether context supports reason, condition or both.
Remove only passive material that remains recoverable from the subject and context.

| The device that was tested under pressure remained stable. | The device tested under pressure remained stable. | The device received the test. |
| Because the proposal was supported by two studies, it was approved. | Supported by two studies, the proposal was approved. | Reason and affected subject are clear. |

| After the samples had been labelled, they were stored. | Once labelled, the samples were stored. | Explicit connector protects sequence. |
Accept a full passive clause whenever reduction would blur time, agency or logical relation. Concision is not a reason to remove evidence or responsibility.
Place the phrase beside the noun it describes or restore a full clause.

Some style guides accept introductory phrases such as based on more loosely, but B2 learners benefit from explicit attachment. Prefer a subject that can logically receive the participle action.
Recover passive meaning, relationship and any actor that still matters.
Track the affected product, the supporting evidence, the condition and the recommendation.
Expand the shortened passive ideas and decide whether each phrase describes, explains or sets a condition.
Accent variety tests meaning transfer, not imitation. Audio never starts automatically. Ask for a compact affected-subject map instead of full transcription.
Use concise passive information while keeping attachment, evidence and responsibility transparent.
Result: 0–2 Rebuild · 3–4 Developing · 5–6 B2 mastery evidence.
Score the first independent attempt across MEAN, FORM and USE. Give one target only: affected subject, relationship, attachment, actor visibility or recommendation clarity. Keep the original score and record the retry separately.
You can now compress passive information while keeping the affected subject and logical relationship clear. Continue through the Dynamic Learning Graph to control more complex participle clauses.
