Learn the key words and short phrases for asking for help, explaining a simple problem, and choosing a solution.
For learners: Build a small, practical word bank so you can ask for help and understand the most common service responses.
For teachers: This A1 foundation moves from noticing service purpose to organising words, listening, retrieval, guided requests, and one independent service exchange.
สำหรับผู้เรียน: สร้างคลังคำและวลีสั้น ๆ ที่ใช้ขอความช่วยเหลือ อธิบายปัญหาง่าย ๆ และเข้าใจคำตอบที่พบบ่อยในงานบริการ
สำหรับครู: บทเรียนเริ่มจากเข้าใจจุดประสงค์ จัดกลุ่มคำ ฟัง เรียกคืนคำ ฝึกคำขอ และจบด้วยสถานการณ์บริการแบบอิสระ
By the end of this lesson, you can make one simple service request, state one basic problem, and choose a clear next step.
เมื่อจบบทเรียน คุณจะสามารถขอความช่วยเหลือเรื่องบริการหนึ่งอย่าง บอกปัญหาพื้นฐานหนึ่งข้อ และเลือกขั้นตอนถัดไปที่ชัดเจนได้
Outcome: The learner makes one simple request, states the problem, and agrees on a solution or next step.
Prepare: Choose one familiar service setting: a shop, delivery desk, café, hotel, or school office. Use only the words needed for that setting.
Teaching move: Establish meaning first, practise short chunks, reduce the phrase support, and delay correction until each message is complete.
Evidence: VR = selects at least three suitable target items; FP = completes a four-turn exchange and makes the agreed outcome clear.
3 min
Read the four service moments. Decide which phrase starts the request, explains the problem, asks for a solution, and closes politely.
Ask the learner to point to the job before reading the sentence. Accept “start,” “problem,” “solution,” and “finish” as enough at A1.

Teach the words as short chunks: “item is missing,” “wrong size,” “have a replacement,” and “refund, please.” Do not ask the learner to memorise isolated definitions.
4 min
Listen once for the situation. Listen again and tick the words you hear: order, missing, replacement, refund, tomorrow.
Order 4821 · one item is missing · the missing item is a blue water bottle · replacement or refund · replacement tomorrow.
Keep the first listen meaning-first. On the second listen, pause only after a complete speaker turn. The learner does not need every word to identify the problem and next step.
5 min
After each answer, ask the learner to use the word in one short chunk. Give the first chunk word only if recall stops for more than five seconds.
5 min
Your turn: Choose one problem and one next step. Say the four parts in order, then repeat without reading the full model.
Keep one frame visible for the first attempt. On the second attempt, cover the model and leave only four prompts: start → problem → solution → close.
4 min
Listen for the order number, arrival day, wrong item, and preferred result.
Customer: Use the facts to ask for the correct item. Service worker: Say when the replacement can arrive. Both people close by repeating the agreed result.
Let the learner choose the customer or service role. Supply facts, not a full script. Change one colour or size for the second attempt so the learner must listen and adapt.
Task: Complete a four-turn service exchange without the word tables or full model. Include:
Success: The listener can state the problem and the agreed outcome after the exchange.
